Perfect to hide our well water pipes above ground. We hope to put a plant on top of it next Spring. Our hope is that it winters well here in WI. I find it strange that these are described as plant stands. Not because they wouldnt be perfectly good as plant stands. They would. But why limit yourself in that way I bought a pair and am using them as pedestals for as pair of gargoyles (also purchased through Wayfare). They are beautiful and sturdily built. I was a little nervous based on some of the comments. It is much nicer than expected. It seems very sturdy and stable. Assembly wasn't difficult, but also wasn't a snap.
