The most economical solution i found to lattice that doesn’t look cheap. But they are more flexible and heavy than I expected, so it’s going to take a lot of reinforcement to line them up above a long property fence without them flopping around in the wind. .. not the product’s fault, but wish they were interconnecting or something. We were looking for a wall accent or covering that had dimension but wasn't wallpaper or a picture. Due to the odd dimension of our room. We selected the Grandby in medium in unfinished MDF. The shipping was quick and we received the product in perfect condition. Since it was unfinished wood, painting took three coats which was fine, just required more patience. Instead of using brad nails we used a pin nailer with one inch pin nails. This allowed for a much smaller or non existent hole/mark left once adhered to the wall. We didn't use adhesive. I am very pleased with these wall panels. I was a little hesitant to purchase something so long, and thin enough to perhaps be damaged in shipping. But every piece was in perfect condition. I bought the alder, which was easy for me to cut with a Japanese style hand saw. Another reviewer mentioned the black charring on the sides, and yes that was a pain because it got all over my hands and on the wall as I was leaning the boards up to visualize. I washed it off as best as I could, then primed and painted. Seems as though the black edging would be a problem if I was just staining or keeping natural. Painting has worked for me though, as did construction adhesive with no nailing required. These wall panels have really jazzed up my entryway and I'm very satisfied with the purchase.. Karen.
