Great little space heater for small spaces! It’s very compact as shown when compared to a tissue box. Doesn’t stick out far from the wall. It has a place to wrap up excess cord on the back. Terrific heater! We had an electric fireplace from another box store that the warming unit went bad in and I was unable to get any replacement parts for. This fireplace has been such a wonderful addition to my home. I am disabled was able to do the very small amount of “installation” required by myself -one has to screw the legs onto the unit. We looked everywhere for an electric log set that would fit in the small firebox of our woodburning fireplace. Burning real wood isn’t practical in this 5th-floor condo in the city, but we love the ambiance and heat of a fire over the long Minnesota winter. We are extremely happy with this product so far! Since we have a snug firebox for the “flames” to project on, we chose not to attach the rear screen. The glowing coals and flames look pretty convincing in person, especially with the screen closed. We’ll have to use white tape to conceal the cord for now and eventually plan to hide it in a special track with the help of a carpenter coming to build our adjacent bookshelf units. We haven’t used the heating function yet since we’re current experiencing very hot summer weather, so can’t comment on that. Overall we’re just delighted with how this looks (more like a glowing coal basket, which we like, vs. “fake logs”) and how it’s allowing us to make use of this existing fireplace. I really like this electric heater. I prefer to use a small unit like this instead of turning on the main house heat. The imitation logs and flame look really nice. The heat comes from the bottom and is blown by a small fan. I’m giving it 4 stars because the digital display on the remote doesn’t work. Some flaws in the design. Power cord is way too short and the manual was incredibly poorly written. Instructions to set up and use were terrible but they made sure to state that extension cords should not be used which makes this unit unusable- since their cord is way too short once placed into the stand.
