Spent the afternoon putting the arch together yesterday. Very ornate and sturdy. I dont think it would stand up to wind and whatnot without being anchored with that being said Im going to Anchor it to our metal pipe fence gate. It is definitely darker than the photos show, more of a very dark gray. I assume it will fade some to a lighter gray, similar to what is show. FYI - you will need to pre-purchase a 4x10, to cut in half. These will be used to place in holes dug roughly 36 inches deep and set in concrete. Hopefully that saves someone else a trip.
