I used them in a different way… mainly for safety so if my daughter does in the couch she can’t climb over the side rail. At night my deck turns into a high end private outdoor space. I purchased five of these panels to add interest to our very long and very boring fence. Buyers should note that the panels are designed to be mounted on posts attached to the ends to make a freestanding panel. It took us quite a while to work out how to mount them to the fence. We initially tried to come up with a way to have concealed screws inside the frame, but this turned out to be nearly impossible because the pattern makes the screws inaccessible. Finally we came up with this solution 1) Determined the spacing and installed lug head screws on the fence at the center top point of each panel. Used a level to make sure they were even. 2) pre drilled 4 holes on each side of the frame, equally spaced, and one at the bottom center. Made them a little bigger than the screws to allow for expansion 3) notched the inside top of the frame, and hung the panel on it. Used a level to square it up. 4) used long black screws to attach the panel to the fence through predrilled holes. Do not screw the panels tight, leave some room for thermal expansion. Our included joiner clips are great for connecting multiple purchased panels and partitioning off a larger area. Space between slats provides efficient airflow and included spacers help with the perfect placement of slats. The real wood, water-based stain panel design gives this privacy screen a stylish look in any yard. We recommend applying a stain every 6 months to maintain optimal color. Transparent or semi-transparent exterior stains will maintain the natural wood look, while solid stains will cover more of the natural wood grain. If the product goes longer than recommended without staining, it will need to be sanded and may require a semi-solid or solid stain. Our powder-coated aluminum posts prevent rusting and provide stability to your screen. This screen is no-dig and very easy to install without tearing up your yard or leaving large holes behind.

Used this to complete a screen around our HVAC and backup generator as required by the township. This is expensive compared to other screen options. However, this screen is much more substantial than any of the alternatives I've seen. Others are perhaps 1/8" thick, bend like cardboard, and can be cut with a utility knife. This is almost 1/2" thick, almost impossible to bend, and requires a table saw or circular saw to cut. The thickness allowed us to construct a removable screen and frame, which will make servicing our two units as needed much easier for the HVAC and propane companies.. James. PA. Thu Dec 25 2025
