The prettiest fan EVER...BUUUUT!!! It stop working in 7 months. The light won't go out. Called an Electrician and he said the unit had to be replaced. This ceiling fan is a really nice unit. However, the instructions (obviously a "so so" translation from a foreign language into English) were not entirely clear throughout. Assembly and installation of the fan required a fair amount of "handy man" knowledge and experience to get through some unclear/confusing parts of the instructions. This fan is ornate and decorative. My husband thinks it’s pretty and he chose the style. I prefer a little simpler style but in a marriage you compromise since he is the installer! lol the fan blade is wood and we chose to put this under our covered patio. Texas heat is brutal so I don’t expect the fan to actually Cool is but more to deter the mosquitos when we step outside in the evening. However with its 6 speeds, it does move a good amount of airflow. Installation directions shows directions for four fans, and it’s simple enough. I do like the fan blades style. This stained glass fan has to be one of my favorite purchases from Wayfair. It’s beautiful, timeless, and classy, it makes me feel like I’m living an old Florida dream in the early 1900s. It is the perfect fit for my Florida Room Guest Suite. I will share that the light it gives is minimal. The space I am using it in is a naturally bright room because of the wall of windows I have. For me it is perfect and sets the right vibe. I would suggest an additional lamp or two if you like a well lit room. Package was not damaged and everything inside was in good condition. I would suggest two people for mounting and read directions well for a successful installation of this fan. The lightbulbs in the top portion of the fan will be difficult to change when the time comes, this may be my only con in regard to this fan. Included with the fan is a remote for ease of use. You can also turn on two sets of lights with the pull strings attached to the fan, one lights up just the top portion and the other lights up the main light globe on the bottom portion.
