The bed went together fairly easily, even with one person! For a few of the steps, I had it leaning on the wall with a blanket for extra protection, but the pieces went together smoothly with little extra effort. The most time consuming part was simply attaching the bed slats, which was quick with a drill. Pleased with my purchase. The queen size bed frame and headboard came in excellent condition. The construction appears solid. Assembly took less than 30 minutes. However, if you arent very familiar with furniture assembly instructions, you may struggle a little as none of the pieces were labeled with the numbers used in the instructions. Ok, giving this 4.5 stars for aesthetic and solid wood frame. HOWEVER, please be cautioned There were some dings and splintering that are fortunately hidden after assembly with one acception. The assembly itself self took 2.5 hrs with a couple sanity breaks. Each spindled piece has an item sticker that would be visible and thus needed removal. I ruined my nails and spent 10x as long removing stickers and the glue as I did putting the head and footboard together. After FINALLY getting this bed put together, I almost cried contemplating the labor intensive deconstruction that would be required to take it out of the room. This project is not for the faint of heart. It is, indeed, a project. I would not deduct stars as paying for assembly is an option. Also, an oversight on my part, but the bedframe will not house a mattress and box spring, only a mattress. My biggest frustration was the assembly, and second the blemishes on the frame. There was one moment where it isn’t straightforward, as it doesn’t mention there is not a pre drilled hole for a screw for the middle portion of the frame. Love this bed! It was super easy to assemble. The side rails had hooks that slid into the head and foot boards, versus some cheaper quality beds that just use cam locks. Love that! Very nice bed frame and I love the color. It wasn’t a challenge to put together, but there is hardly any written instructions with mostly picture steps with small text for the labels.
