This is great! The ladder is sanded very smooth and soft, no additional sanding required. Ladder is difficult to assemble, as in awkward. You will need someone to hold things and fiddle with it with you. The rail was super easy, and the metal pieces are pretty substantial. My only complaint is that one of the screw heads sheared off, so now I don't have support there, but the hassle of trying to tap it out has prevented me from dealing with it unless I have to. It was pretty easy to put together and install. I got really lucky to have a shelf that was right at the correct height because I built the bookshelf before ordering the ladder. I ordered it 12’ wide and it came with two extra rods to get that length. The locking wheels would be safer for the kids but I like to ride the ladder along from side to side.
