I missed two delivery windows because I was not aware it came with white glove service even if you didnt request it. The first table came very damaged so they sent a replacement. That also had a minor paint issue and the hinges to extend the table did not work 100 I eventually worked out a compromise with wayfair because I was not confident a 3rd table wouldnt also be damaged and I was really attached to the length of the table because I have a large dining area. I recently received this solid wood dining table and overall, I’m very satisfied with the purchase. Here are a few details from my experience: Shipping & Packaging: The table arrived in one large, heavy box. It was packaged very securely, which I appreciated given the weight of the solid oak. Quality & Aesthetics: The material is excellent. You can feel the quality of the solid wood, and the color is beautiful—true to the online photos. It’s a sturdy, well-made piece of furniture. Assembly Tips: Assembly is mostly just attaching the four legs. However, I encountered two small issues: Manual Error: The included instructions were slightly inaccurate. They showed an external nut setup, but the actual product uses internal screws that thread directly into the legs. Hardware Issue: One of the leg’s internal threadings was a bit worn/damaged, making it difficult to align the screw. It took a lot of patience to get it started correctly—make sure not to force it, or you might cross-thread it. Tools: A simple hex key (Allen wrench) is included and is all you need for the job. Update December 2025: with minimal use and a protective cover, this table has issues with the top. The inlay seemed to shrink? I added a photo of the gap. I only found out today when I removed the cover (it was time for a new one, which I have done once before because, again, minimal use). I am not even sure how to fix this... .... To be fair, this was just delivered. The table is solid and hefty. The color is very dark, almost a gray black, which is fine by me. You definitely need 2 people to put this together - I opted to have installation and I don't regret it! The table is big even without the leaf (see pic with chairs - yes, I have 8 chairs but took 2 out for a better pic). Either end space doesn't pull up close to the table because of the legs, but when you sit in the chair it is very comfortably spaced. Under the table, when sitting on the side chairs, it is very comfortable too, with decent elbow room (yes, even whithout the leaf and 3 chairs per side). Like others said, around the top's edge is a gap so you might need toothpicks to clean the groove, but it isn't obnoxious. The leaf gap is tight with the clamps in place, so that is also good. The extension mechanism is a chain wheel so it is smooth to pull apart. That said, i would assume it needs to be checked every so often. I can't speak to that since I just got the table.. Sheri. This is a beautifully crafted table in a rich espresso color. The tabletop features a unique and stunning pattern in espresso and black. The pedestals are designed with a bold, modern, and eye-catching look. It comes with a 22-inch extendable leaf. The table is very heavy and requires two people to assemble. Once assembled, it becomes a centerpiece that will likely earn many compliments. I will be thrilled when the matching sideboard is delivered. This set has truly transformed my dining room. ❤️ The original order was replaced and arrived in two separate shipments. The boxes were slightly damaged, and there was a small scuff on one corner of the table. I was able to fix it using a furniture touch-up kit. A small 1” x 2” wood inlay piece was missing from the leaf. Additionally, an extra box with two pedestals was delivered. I still gave five stars because when I contacted customer service, they resolved all the issues. The extra box has already been picked up, and the missing wood inlay was ordered from the vendor.
