I bought this to match the end tables that I bought last year. I loved the style and an extra bonus for me is that the iRobot can fit underneath it so I don't have to vacuum under it. The previous sofa table that I had also had a bottom shelf, and I kept some things on it that I would prefer to have hidden from sight (binoculars, doggie paw wipes, cover for sofa) since I wanted those things near our back door (where the sofa table sits.) Now I keep those things in the drawer so that they are out of sight, but still readily available for use. It was easy to put together. My husband and I are in our 70s, but we were able to put it together in just about 1.5 to 2 hours. I think this is a very attractive piece of furniture. It looks like it could be an antique or modern! For me, it works very well in my office and holds quite a bit. I assembled it without help and it took about two hours. I did use an electric drill and as others have mentioned, it took a bit of finagling to get the doors straight. I ordered the cream color. What was great: solid and high quality construction, easy assembly, perfect design for my purposes, great delivery. What disappointed: definitely not a cream color. It was hard to capture with my cell phone, but the color is definitely darker than all the pictures online, and it is a decidedly GREEN color, although a very light green.
