They will last for years, and will probably be passed down to children or grandchildren! They assembled easily. (The trick is to not tighten the bolts until all have been inserted halfway in their respected places.) We spend a lot of time around this table, and we feel they will stand the test of time. I think these chairs are the best! Very good size even for larger people. They are well made and very sturdy. I am 63 and I assembled them myself in one day. Only a slight problem is that the woof under the seat needs to be slightly sanded to get rid if some rough spots. Other than that I would say they are perfect. These chairs are compact but sturdy. I love the Mid Century Modern look to them. Unboxing was a bit frustrating—the Styrofoam crumbled everywhere, creating quite a mess, and the screws were taped to it, which made cleanup even more difficult when removing them. During assembly, pieces F and G (the lower cross bracing) were especially tricky to align, and many of the screws didn’t line up easily with the predrilled holes. Step 10 was particularly challenging, as there were no predrilled holes for those screws, making installation much harder than expected. These chairs are so comfortable. Honestly, Ive bought four or five sets of chairs from this website over the last few months, and these are by far my favorite. Assembly was fairly easy. Just attach the cushions to the main frame and then add the other two legs. My only problem was that one chair arrived with a cracked frame. Wayfair quickly sent out a replacement chair, but they sent a slightly different chair to the one originally ordered. They sent one that has arms. The chairs were carefully packed to avoid damage. The assembly instructions were fairly easy to follow except for the part with the chair stretchers. That was a bit confusing and I had to reassemble it to make it fit right. Also some of the holes were difficult to align. Once the chairs were completely assembled, they appeared very sturdy and solidly built. The white linen fabric is beautiful and will match most decors. The wood is soft, so it dents if handled roughly. (My son’s chair has marks where he pushes it in against the table, but at least he pushes his chair in!) The marks are barely noticeable.
