This Didier Barrister Bookcase (4 door - HAVANA GOLD stain selected) works for what I needed it for. A couple of suggestions to the manufacturer: foot pads should be leveling type foot pads, I have tiled floors. Doors should close magnetically to ensure doors close ALL the WAY, and an inside (top-level) electrical on-off light would be a nice addition. Of the 2 I ordered, one arrived badly damaged. Because I needed the pair and these were out of stock for awhile, I refused the second one out of fear of never getting a matched pair. I wasn't aware of the $200 fee for the return, but lesson learned. No more Wayfair!!! On first glance, the bookcase is really pretty. But honestly, the $1500 bookcase looks like a $500 piece. The shelves are shallow and short, especially when the doors are opened and raised into the shelf, so the practicality for holding books is lacking. I was able to modify the smaller shelves to stack them to complete the built in. The cabinets look great! I was expecting them to be about 1 foot higher than they are (I guess I didn’t measure well). Its a good sold wood cabinet. Fits lots of heavy books. We were very happy we paid for assembly as it took him a while to do. He did a great job. This walnut chest is a lovely piece of furniture. We love it. The design is wonderful and the walnut is beautiful. The chest came fully assembled except for putting the feet and knobs on.
