Before application make sure to sand the wood in stages, starting with a medium grit sand paper to a more medium/fine grade. Sand in the direction of the grain whenever possible to ensure the removal of any blemishes and glue residue process is complete. Take care to remove all traces of sanding dust and test the chosen wax on a similar surface to verify the color. Application: Cloth, Brush, Sponge. I Just installed this floor so I can’t speak to the durability of it just yet. I have a very active Schnauzer and 9 year and it’s been great and super easy to maintain. Installation was a breeze (a local contractor installed it) and ordering from wayfair was amazing (ordered 800sq feet). We did three rooms on the main level. The first picture is with natural light for reference. Planks are a good width with decent thickness.
