I received this bench on June 3, 2023. My husband and I worked together to construct it. I was very disappointed to find in the instructions that it is to be constructed with small dowel pegs. No screws are included. The instructions tell u that if a dowel breaks off while u are using a rubber mallet to hammer it in then u need to use a 1/8 drill bit to drill that one out and insert another one. I would have rather the manufacturer design this bench with screws as part of the construction which would have provided more strength and stability. However, we decided to give it a try and we began to construct it. Several dowels broke and I had to do as the instructions noted. It seems to be fairly tight together at this point but I will be monitoring it as time goes by. I applied a coat of Teak Oil to it and it brings out the beautiful grains and color. These chairs are just what I was looking for! They are good looking, solid and well made. They are quite comfortable and the pillows have a nice firmness. They do come with adjusters on the bottom of the legs. Putting them together was simple, but have to admit having a 2nd person help hold in place, while adding screws made the job go faster. Also to make it easier on yourself, follow instructions on putting the pillow covers on when taking the pillows out of the vacuum sealed packets. The pillows do expand to completely fill the covers..
