I know that I could have spent a LOT more and perhaps gotten better quality, but these seem to have a great feel to them during use and come with a lifetime warranty. The real test will be edge retention and how often I will need to sharpen them with regular use. I am very happy with my purchase so far, and maybe if you were a professional chef you may require the very best, but for the average home cook, these are extremely nice for the price paid and I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.. Bon Chef's flatware is designed for commercial use, heavy 18/8 stainless steel. Handling instructions: Do not soak in water with other metal objects. Carefully clean after use. Wash in hot water with non-abrasive non-corrosive cleaning agent. Rinse in water of at least 180 degrees. A wetting agent or water softener may be required if using water with high mineral content. Avoid prolonged contact with acid substances (ex. lemon/vinegar). Avoid using cleaning solutions containing ammonia or lemon.
