Everyone loves a beautiful hardwood stairway, but even the most attractive stairs can be slippery for anyone in the family, including pets. These non-slip Carpet Stair Treads can add safety to your steps, not to mention an extra layer of warmth and comfort. With a simple solid design, it easily complements the natural beauty of your steps and home.

These are amazing! I have slipped down our all wood tread stairs twice. The first time, I broke a coupla ribs. The second time I slipped I was three stairs from reaching the carpeted basement, holding our puppy. This last time I was just furious and fed up with them. I called a carpet place immediately and had someone come out to provide a bid for a runner but then? I just thought I'd check Wayfair. . . Wow. I am SO happy I did and with the help of all the five-star reviews on these, I ordered the closest color and best pattern. They are amazing!!! They adhere well to the treads, they fit the bullnose and I no longer have to clutch the railing like my life depends on it. Not to mention our little furry friend will be more likely to learn to go up and down, with these in place. If this is an item you need? Just buy them. Figure out which ones look best because they probably won't match your existing carpet, and then love your stairs. Also our steps are varying widths. We center the top stair in each flight, and then used a pattern to make sure the distance on the left side (in the image) was consistent. I am a discerning customer and it was important to me that these looked good and felt good under foot. They do both. With a nice finished edge all around, they lay flat and the adhesive makes them grip firmly.. Sue Brandon. Fort Lauderdale, FL. Tue Oct 20 2026

These treads are excellent. Easy to install and they stay in place. What I like best about them is that they wrap around the front of the step. They are worth the money and I’d recommend. Color was exactly as described. Very happy with purchase.. Anonymous. Thu Oct 01 2026

The Colors semicircle and quarter circle rugs bring bright color section energy to curved shapes that fit where full circles cannot. Both formats work equally well against walls and in corners - transforming underused classroom floor space into defined, colorful gathering areas. Both shapes work beautifully on their own or paired with other rugs to create flexible seating arrangements. The modular geometry gives teachers options a standard rectangle cannot. Super cute and very durable. Crystal. Show Low, AZ. Tue Aug 04 2026

The luxurious textures of these lush carpet stair treads feature ultra-plush floor coverings (1" thick pile) in a simple solid color, made using soft yet durable polyester for easy-care, long-lasting beauty. Dimension: 9.5" x 30", fits most indoor home stairs perfectly. The carpet stair tread has a backing coated with a special gel, which could cling filmy to your flat and smooth stairs like magic. No tapes, adhesives, staples, or glue are required; Simply place the carpet tread on a clean smooth flat surface and press firmly. The carpet will remain securely in place until you need to uplift it. It can be re-positioned again and again, without the use of any additional adhesives. (The matching stair landing mat is not included, it is sold separately)

I'm really happy with these stair carpets- it was hard to find ones with the correct dimensions for my staircase which has pretty thick edging, and in the color that matches my painted stairs and is textured. I was worried they weren't going to be soft/cushioned enough, but the cross texture feels comfortable on my feet and adds that extra traction I was looking for. All around a great purchase! *Some things to note- it was hard to peel the thin plastic off the back, so just take your time with it, and make sure the Velcro truly lines up with the carpet edge or it will look crooked and not stick right. When instructions say 2inches out, they really mean that. We were off by maybe 1/16th inch and it wouldn't stay folded underneath correctly.. Anonymous. Sun Jul 19 2026

Love. Love You want be disappointed. Sandra. Archdale, NC. Wed Oct 21 2026

These carpet treads look beautiful on my stairs. Perfect depth, not too thin or thick. The treads make the stairs look more finished and add a touch of elegance. They’ve been installed for a week and so far have not slipped or come unattached from the steps. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of the plastic covering the adhesive backing. You must remove the very thin plastic before you install. No matter what I attempted, the plastic didn’t remove easily. It tore off in pieces leaving little plastic pieces still attached. If the manufacturer would perhaps use a different material or thicker backing Overall I’m very pleased with the purchase.. Christine. Andover, VT. Sat Oct 24 2026
