The table top is steel. The description say its constructed with both aluminum and steel, but did not say which parts. The only aluminum I could find was the housing for the gas knob and igniter. I was hoping the table top was aluminum so it wouldn't rust. The wicker is much more grayer than the picture on-line. Looks great. See attached photo. Thanks to the review from Antwain of Cedar Falls for saying not to tighten the screws until its all put together, that really helped. This was definitely not easy to put together, and I’m a bit handy. Once put together, I remembered how much I liked its look. These chairs are just what I was looking for! They are good looking, solid and well made. They are quite comfortable and the pillows have a nice firmness. They do come with adjusters on the bottom of the legs. Putting them together was simple, but have to admit having a 2nd person help hold in place, while adding screws made the job go faster. Also to make it easier on yourself, follow instructions on putting the pillow covers on when taking the pillows out of the vacuum sealed packets. The pillows do expand to completely fill the covers..
