These are really nice curtains. The background is definitely white and the stripe that runs through them does vary between navy to a lighter denim to a very light gray, but for me that was perfect for my living room. The fabric is a fairly heavy cotton (and part polyester; but they have the feel of cotton for sure). I ordered 3 pairs, and all of my stripes lined up once I hung them (I noticed in the reviews that some people complained about that). I washed them according to the instructions and they came out perfectly with no shrinkage and after ironing they looked awesome. During the day they let plenty of light in the room, and at night they definitely provide privacy even though they are semi sheer. I highly recommend these and I am extremely happy with my purchase.. These curtains are so beautiful. They have a nice weight to them and look really great in our room. I love them! However, I’m a bit disappointed and only gave a 4 star rating because when I received the package, there was only one panel in it. It clearly states in the title and the specifications, that there are "2" panels that are suppose to be included!! I had to order another one and the same thing happened. I only received one panel. Why is this happening to everyone? I see I’m not the only one.
