For centuries, tuned bells have been suspended in homes and temples to ward off evil and attract good luck and prosperity. These ancient bells inspire Woodstock Temple Bells and work harmoniously with the wind to create gentle, soothing tones. In 1979, Grammy(R) Award-winning musician and instrument designer Garry Kvistad created the first Woodstock Chime from an aluminum lawn chair he found in a landfill. Fascinated by the Scale of Olympos, a 7th-century pentatonic scale that can’t be played on a modern piano, Garry cut and tuned the lawn chair tubes to the exact frequency of the ancient scale. The Chimes of Olympos was the first of Woodstock Chimes Wind Chimes and is still one of our best-selling, musically-tuned windchimes. UPDATE it is now 25MAY 2026 and I decided to get my water bell feature from out of the garage and give it a go again. I had to replace the pump. To my surprise, once I hooked it up, it works perfectly! I’m happy that I tried it again. Thank you! A few months ago, I was at a salt room and I was introduced to a water bell fountain and I fell in love with it. When I inquired about it, I was told that it was very old (and not for sale). I wanted one so I searched the internet and found this one and purchased it. I’ve had it set up for awhile now and to my disappointment…no bell ringing. This is a pretty little fountain, the colors are more vibrant than I expected, which I love. The designs are very pretty and it seems well made. It is also a small fountain, more for like a desk than say an entry way. The only real issue I have with it is that the pump is louder than the water trickling sounds. We are happy now with the fountain, it works well, but the description was very misleading. When I read the description it said 2.89 for height, width, depth. We thought that was feet, so we’re disappointed it was so small. It only stands about one foot high, so we’ve put it on an upturned flower pot. The birds are enjoying it, and that’s what counts..
