This bookcase will do the job. It's not quite as sturdy as I would prefer. This is assembled as a bottom and a top (the bottom could be used independently but the top couldn't as is), so the longest pieces of wood aren't the length of the height. The wood is thinner than I would prefer. So altogether, it'll do the job but it doesn't have a very solid feel to it. I like the cubbies instead of just one longer shelf. And I really like the blue color. Other names for this blue could be Colonial Blue, Williamsburg Blue. It has that blue gray feel to it without actually looking blue gray. I guess it's muted. These are just what I needed! They put together pretty well. I would recommend using wood glue for the pegs that hold the shelves on, just to make it a little sturdier.
