So when I ordered this I thought it could be used vertical, which as shown in the picture can, but isn’t ideal. Unfortunately, we only have room in our youngest’s room to put it like vertical so we are making it work. These are just what I needed! They put together pretty well. I would recommend using wood glue for the pegs that hold the shelves on, just to make it a little sturdier. Love this shoe bench. Perfect size for the area I bought it for, the walk through from the garage into the house. Shoes were always left on the floor to trip over and now they can fit neatly in the shoe cubby holes. My husband's size 13 shoes also fit. Love it and highly recommend this product.
