A little tedious to put together, but great for my Chinchillas. Easy to clean.. Anonymous. Sat Oct 24 2026

This animal cage features a metal frame with a wooden ramp and edge barriers. Measuring 27.6"L x 20"W x 55.2"H, the critter nation cage is constructed from solid fir wood and heavy-duty galvanized wire mesh. The five-level design offers ample space for exploration and climbing, and includes a small resting house. It is equipped with a deeper, leak-proof plastic tray that can be pulled out from the front and back and features a lock to prevent escapes. The metal wire mesh top and a visible front door provide good ventilation, allow for easy observation, and facilitate catching pets. This cage is suitable for a variety of small animals including ferrets, chinchillas, rats, squirrels, and sugar gliders, and can be used both indoors and outdoors.

It's a decent cage but came with some screws that were not really ideal for putting it together. Also instructions were a little vague but not too hard to figure out and takes longer than 45 minutes to put together even with 2 people even using a power drill. Also power drill is a must since they only made holes on one side of it to put together. Also, there could of been better attachment pieces for the top and bottom without having to add locks on it. Overall it is a nice cage for a ferret. Also some ferrets don't like wooden ramps so you might have to add ramp covers.. Sarah. Port Orange, FL. Sat May 16 2026

This 2-tier small animal cage with a stylish New Zealand wood finish is perfect for rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and squirrels. It features a sturdy metal frame, double-door design for easy access and cleaning, and a top enclosed locker to store pet supplies securely. Metal ramps offer non-slip, durable access between levels, while slide-out trays simplify daily care. Four 360° universal wheels (2 with locks) allow easy transport and secure placement. The embedded hammock buckle adds extra comfort, and the elegant round locks ensure safety. A spacious, functional home that blends seamlessly with your home decor while meeting your small pet’s needs.

We bought this for two rats and it's very spacious and pretty much perfect for them. Assembly was very simple and straightforward. The doors seem a bit cheap and flimsy. Not that a rat can breakout of them, but they don't align perfectly and there is a bit of "flex". Doesn't have any impact on our use case, but worth noting. The storage on the bottom is handy for extras, the wheels are nice for pulling the cage out and vacuuming under it and behind it. The look is very nice and it's not your average rodent cage. The only thing that I would add for future iterations of this cage is more hooks to the top for toys. On the top level there are 4 hooks for the hammock it comes with and nothing else, so you have to add your own and do something else. Otherwise, I'm really pleased with our purchase.. Kara. IN. A&E Cage Co.'s HQ Cages feature high-quality construction with a strong and durable design. Each cage is finished with a non-toxic powder coating, with multiple color options available. This product line includes a variety of sizes and cage types, catering to different species of birds.

I agree with another reviewer that this cage is fantastic. It's very well built. High-quality wheels, stable, a bit bigger than the standard 30 x 30 x 30 interior cage plus 30" high rolling cart. Biggest benefit is the tight fit between the cage bars and floor of the cage -- this cage is designed so that seed can't fall between spaces at the bottom of the cage floor. Four openings for food containers, two entrance doors at the front, one higher and one lower. My birds love it. It is absolutely worth the slightly higher price.. Anonymous. Toronto. Sat Oct 03 2026

Great cage for my ferret. Instructions are a bit hard to follow because none of the pieces were labeled. Only had pictures and item descriptions to go by. My shipment was also missing one of the ramp covers, it should have come with 3, but only 2 were included.. Megan. Tulsa, OK. Thu Aug 27 2026

This is a beautiful, very sturdy cage! I put it together myself without any problems. I found the play top was missing 4 nuts, but I bought them at the hardware store and finished putting it all together. I love the drop down feeder doors!!
