Nice chair. Very soft and comfortable. The fabric feels soft, but definitely faux leather. The feature that allows the sides to go down is nice and will be lovely when sitting for long projects. The chair was pretty easy to put together and looks great in our home office. It is big and comfortable, my husband really likes it. Feels sturdy and I like the legs and wheels match the color of the chair. I would call it more of a taupe than beige as it definitely has some grey tones to it. But still a great neutral color..
