Craftsman Storage Shed 4 x 6 Feet

This beautifully designed 6x8 Garden shed offers ample storage space in a convenient, space-saving size. 6ft. tall side walls provide plenty of height to hang pots and gardening tools. Two shelves keep your commonly used tools so you have space for lawnmowers and wheelbarrows. The heavy-duty Galvalume roof system reduces interior heat and is completely rust-resistant. The wood shed siding is pre-primed to prevent rot and decay.

While I think this shed will ultimately serve its intended purpose I was disappointed that it didn't tell me that I needed to get a variety of nails and screws for assembly. This worked out well for our needs. Definitely not a one-person assembly job as some pieces either didn't align exactly right or needed someone else to hold pieces together so they could be attached. The holes in the door don't align very well so it's hard to attach a small lock to keep the door from swinging outward. Everything was labeled and the instructions (mostly pictures with directional arrows) were easy to follow enough. If you can assemble Lego sets, the assembly instructions were about the same method. Yes, you need a floor. Do measure the space before buying and cutting (tip - HD will give you one free cut on the giant board. Having it in two pieces makes it much easier to install inside). We also needed a ladder to assemble the roof. It is a bit flimsy though it worked well for us as we installed this in the small space between the house and fence, nestled up against another part of a fence that does not open. I’m very happy with this shed overall. It’s very well made, feels sturdy, and was a great addition to my outdoor patio. The modern design looks much nicer than most storage sheds, and the interior is surprisingly spacious. It easily holds all of my patio equipment and outdoor supplies while keeping everything organized. The only downside I found is that the roof leaked a little where the back roof panels meet the side walls. It was a minor issue, but I sealed the inside with expanding spray foam and applied exterior caulk along the outside seam. Since doing that, it’s been completely waterproof and has held up well against the elements. Which is why I have it 4stars instead of 5. Other than that small issue, I highly recommend this shed. Patience is a virtue - I was able to put this shed together by myself in about 10 hours. Picture instructions were 90% adequate however there were some steps I had to really focus on the drawings to determine where the pieces fit - inside/outside position grooves. Some of the screw instructions were not as clear as I would have liked. Definitely use a drill to help screws go in cleanly and keep closer to the outer edges to ensure screws actually go into walls. Having a second pair of hands during the wall & roof installation would have been less taxing physically. Screws for door hinges have no spares and as 2 of the 24 provided did not fit really well and I ended up stripping one of them and the other was only able to tighten half way I would have like the floor to be a bit firmer than it is. And the sizing is more 4.5 ft x 2.5 ft which was a bit of let down as I wanted to fit my current shelving units on both sides. I also would have liked a middle roof bracket to give it more stability for the door opening, plus I think it would have helped make the roof installation a bit easier.. Christine. North Saanich, BC. We bought a vertical storage shed 30 years ago and moved it to Germany, where it's been used outside. Although we just had to disassemble and reassemble it again, that was easily done. We liked the size and look of this shed for storing seasonal outdoor chairs and tables. Assembly took about 4 hours including a rain delay. Once we got the floor assembled the rest of it went pretty easily except for the roof which was a real challenge. We ended up securing two corners inside then tucking the rest of it in, otherwise we would get it tucked in and it would come out. Also the door panel had a small dent which I don't think will affect the durability but a little disappointing to have some damage on it.
