This was worth waiting for. Beautiful lines, and nice and firm. It's hard to find a new sofa that won't look anachronistic in a vintage 1930 home, but this does the trick. This is a very nice couch at a very reasonable price. The cushions are firm (in a good way), and the fabric has a tight-enough weave that it'll likely hold up to pets. It appears to be solidly-built, and I would expect this to last 15+ years if you don't abuse it. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that the condition of the sofa was not what I was expecting. I would typically not lower a review rating based on shipping issues, but I believe that the damage (nothing major but very annoying) would be likely to occur for anyone ordering this sofa based on my packaging and shipping observations. The problem is that the sofa is shipped on its legs - not palletized or with slides. Of course, there were indications that somewhere along its journey, people slid it around on its legs. It was missing 3 of 4 feet, had scuffing on the legs, and had a small tear in the underside dustcover. While I would love to have this sofa in new condition, I cannot recommend ordering it for delivery because there is too great a chance that it will arrive in less-than-new condition. I received this ottoman and was to receive “white glove delivery”. I paid for this and the ottoman was left in the driveway in front of the garage door. The chair is due to deliver in a few weeks and I will be very disappointed if I am left to move that in my house. This is unacceptable and after already receiving terrible service on the first chair I ordered I am surprised this type of service happened yet again. The first chair was to have arrived in September and after the delivery date had come and gone I received a refund to my pay pal account with no explanation. The chair was out of stock and I was never informed. I had ordered 7 weeks prior and was expecting it.
