The veneer on the desktop came with dark, greasy fingerprints and chips missing around the edges. The instructions that were included did not match in any way, shape or form, the product in the box. The part list did not have all of the parts. The assembly pictographs were unclear, and most of them did not match the parts that I eventually used. Many of the metal fasteners stripped while I tightened them, despite using a hand screw driver and many years experience in carpentery. The copious amount of extra hardware included indicates they have a generic package of hardware that they ship, but many of the components still do not match what is in the instructions. This is a beautiful and very sturdy desk. I would 100 recommend hiring professional assembly if you can afford it as there’s over 35 separate pieces and numerous screws. This craft table is a perfect addition to my craft room. Delivery was great. The package was very heavy and you need 2 people to lift the box. It took me 3 days to put together because there were so many parts. I wish they had wooden dowels instead of plastic. I should’ve used glue because they kept falling out. I didn’t put the doors on because I liked the open shelves. I did not put the top on so it would fold out because I didn’t have room so just kept it folded. Everything works great!
