Overall, I absolutely love this desk! It did arrive with a few minor issues that Wayfair rectified. This is a solid piece of furniture. I would definitely recommend paying for the delivery and setup. The two compartments on the top lift up to open but sadly they do not lock in place to remain open, which could be a little inconvenient but there is a slow close on it so it does not slam closed. **TIP** there is a piece that covers the top so you can possibly sit items up there that is probably some type of mdf board and it probably blends in with the packaging and mine was thrown out, so just be mindful and ask for that piece. The drawer could have been made deep enough for this feature but for some reason it was not included in the design. Came well packaged. A few pieces chipped (small) and some dirty (cleaned up well). They are beautiful, substantial, have tons of storage, and feel very sturdy. The white finish with the darker wood top looks even better in person. Fair warning though assembly is a PROJECT. The first desk took us about 5 hours, and even knowing exactly what we were doing, the second still took about 4 hours. I would absolutely recommend having two people, plenty of space, and a whole lot of patience. That being said, the instruction manual was surprisingly clear and helpful. There are simply a LOT of pieces and steps involved. Once assembled, though Worth it. They look like much more expensive pieces of furniture and completely transformed our homeschool room. I especially love all of the drawers, cabinets, shelving, and built-in desktop outlets. If you’re willing to survive the assembly process, I highly recommend them. Top came with small but noticeable damage (I was able to request a replacement piece). The rotating top is also a little wobbly considering the price. That being said, I’m happy with my purchase considering it saves a lot of space, provides decent storage area and fits my small room perfectly. This is a cute desk. I like the antique white look and it has lots of storage space. I chose not to add the LED strip lighting just because of preference. Seems sturdy with clear instructions. No missing parts but was bummed because the top brown desk top had a crack in it. Not worth trying to get a replacement because I use a large desk mat and it covers it. Assembly takes a while.
