I like these curtains very much! My daughter likes it better when she leaves the mesh part untied, but you can do whatever you like, it looks good anyway. Very cozy and country feeling. Colors are deep and vibrant. I would say they are not room darkening. I paired them with a light beige sheer. You get 2 in a package with tie backs. One set covered my double window ( 36x53 ) x2 .. w/o the sheers. Shipping was fast and easy.
