The US Weight 4' Sign Post and 40 lb. Base Kit offers you several great features at an unbeatable value. It comes with a 4' powder coated steel post featuring our patented spring tensioning system, Sta-Straight technology. This allows the user to assemble the post to the base with no tools - simply push post into the base and give it a quarter twist and post is then locked into the base. The features prevents the post from wanting to lean overtime, as it is under constant spring tension. The top of the post has 7 holes cut in it that are positioned in a pattern that is standard and will fit most signs. The kit also comes with hardware to attach a sign to the post. Signs are not included.

It is now ready to be used. The base is really heavy that the post doesn't tip over. I have placed this sign post along my driveway and installed a driveway alarm and a 'beware of dog' sign on it. Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing. The item was received in a timely manner. The base was smaller than the original base that had been broken and needed replaced. I had to drill new holes in the concrete to secure the post base.
