The light portion and the fan blades were very easy to install. The instructions are clear and it comes with extra hardware which is always so helpful. My favorite things about it are the fact that the wood grain sort of lines up on the fan blades and the hardware is really nice even though it's not showing. Overall this is a great fan, the light is bright but can be adjusted to be dimmer. The fan has different speeds for whatever your needs may be. My only “issue” if you can call it that, is I wish I was to not use the extender to attach it to the ceilings and just the part the carabiner is attached to, the room we used it in has shorter ceilings so tall people might have an issue.. We have a "Florida basement" storage room in our modern organic coastal home that needed a light. This was perfect, nice (not cheap) quality and a little fun. When lit, the warm brown weave creates a neat little pattern across the ceiling. As some have mentioned, you will need to be directly under the fan to feel it but it does move air surprisingly well. This is perfect for us because I sometimes hang wet clothes on a drying rack or do some ironing in the center of the room.
