The chairs are attractive. Fairly easy to put together. They seem sturdy once assembled. They arrived quickly. I have 3 complaints. The chairs smell. They need to be off gassed. The instruction booklet is not detailed enough. The pictures are small and the details are not included. The base of the seat is not very strong. For now, you have me telling you, that if you are buying this for the Dodge Kitchen Island, and especially if you are putting the wheels on that island which puts the counter at 38" high, consider buying the 30" inch stools, Ok? The Mahogany stools are not as dark as the counter top, but the black would not have matched either, soooo . . . it is what it is; we still love them because they are GORGEOUS !! These are great and very comfortable! If I had one criticism it would be to ignore the instructions when it says to tighten the legs to the foot rail to 100%. Definitely put all screws in (legs to seat and legs to foot rail) at 50%, then align and tighten the legs to the seat to 100% BEFORE you tighten the foot rail..otherwise you will not be able to align the chair legs in a way that minimizes the gaps between the parts, creating pinch points for fingers when scooting in your chair. However, I also have very active household & more interruptions than I can begin to understand. My stools are sturdy, attractive, functional & I believe quite durable. Absolutely a 10! Beautiful bar chairs that look exactly like the photos. 4 stars only because they are a big pain to assemble.
