The storage space underneath the cushion is only covered by some thin wood slats knit together so I wouldn't trust falling down onto that cushion. This is a beautiful loveseat. It's the perfect size for my basement apartment rental. It has tons of storage under each seat and ottoman. I purchased the blue. The material is soft yet sturdy and beautiful. It seems as though it won't show stains easily, which is what I was looking for for my rental property. It was easy to put together once we figured out which box the instructions were in. It feels very sturdy and is perfect for a small space. Delivery went well. Very nicely packaged and shipped, and easy to put together. Allows flexibility for left or right facing options. The cushions ship vacuum packed and need 48 hours to fluff. It’s super easy to put the feet on by hand, and having a rubber mallet to connect the couch connectors together is very helpful. Seems to be decent quality material and cushioning. The brown color is more like a sand color and blends really nicely with our light gray walls, giving the room a more warm feeling than our previous black pleather sectional. We usually don’t allow our dogs on the furniture and our kids are all grown, but we shall see how it holds up with our grandkids over the years! If I’m able to, I will post an update in the future after the pillows fluff a bit. I purchased an extra ottoman so me and my hubby can rest our feet. Overall, very happy with my purchase!. Anonymous.
