Not as thick as I had hoped, closer to a thick mattress cover. Not much different from a down blanket, really. Still, it’s a great deal for something that is great for your health due to it being hypoallergenic and good for your skin! It’s basically a nice topper for firming up a foam mattress, or adding a hypoallergenic layer overtop something that’s not rated as being very “green”. We first tried this over a firm latex pad, and it did not add much noticeable improvement in thickness or softness. Next, we tried this down pad over a 2 inch thick foam pad, and it made all the difference! I am not at all a fan of foam pads. However, using this topper over the foam pad makes the foam less susceptible to sinking! Love it! Sferra’s products are normally made in Italy but I was chagrined to discover that it too was made in China. However because I have purchased other Annie Selke Pine Cone Hill products over the years & they were always well made, excellent quality products I decided to give this a try. The Cloud mattress pad was aptly named and did not disappoint. It is a well-made quality product, is very soft to the touch, and it easily stretched over a 14 & ½ inch queen mattress with ease. I am very happy with this purchase & feel it was worth every penny. And of course like all Perigold purchases I received this order with fast, free delivery.
