It was SUPER easy to put together. It had the same screws basically for everything, so it was hard to mess up. It does come in a lot of pieces, however, the slats will come in the smaller box that gets delivered which is nice. It took me about 1.5 hours with help. The tracking of the shipment was also super convenient and accurate. I was thrown off with the staircase handrail, it’s not very kid friendly to hold onto because it’s low. It does squeak a little bit when my girls climb the stairs, and can sway easy. That’s the only reason I took a star away. Otherwise it is perfect for my 2 and 3 year old to share!. Katie. My kids loved this. If you're looking for floor bed frames, this is great. The bunk above is the perfect height. It definitely does take two people to assemble, so keep that mind, but it's worth it. The only thing I wish could have been better is the "windows" It's just canvas fabric. If it was solid wood or plastic would give it more a polish look. I'd still recommend though, fantastic deal.. As a mom of boys, I’ve purchased and assembled several bunk beds over the years to know that these are my favorites to date. I was able to put the bunks together in an hour by myself without any issues. The bunk is sturdy, and I have no concerns about stability or the bed slats coming out, as they snap into place. The attached ladder doesn't take up floor space or block access to the bottom bunk. The height of the bottom bunk not only prevents anyone from bumping their head but also gives my boys a lounge space to read or watch TV. My only complaints are that I wish the upper side rails were higher since current mattresses are not thin, so our mattress sits flush with the rail. We use a pool noodle under the sheet along the rail for extra peace of mind. If your mattress is on the thinner side, you won’t have any issues. The second is that I wish the clearance underneath was just an inch or two taller, as it wouldn’t impact the bottom bunk and would allow larger totes to be stored under the bed.
