Seems to be very sturdy. The hinges on the lid are great. They hold the top open so you can load things into the bin. Bought it to store cushions from a patio set will easily hold 12 cushions size of each is 24 x 24” with room for a few more items. First off let me say it took 2 of us to put it together. Was very easy. About 45 minutes. It is a nice storage bin. Not as sturdy and strong as I thought it would be. This storage deck box is totally different from the first storage deck box I ordered, it has no wheels. Although its not the same, this storage deck box works fine. As a matter of fact, my outside chair pillows fit into it perfectly! This storage deck box may not be as decorative as the first one I ordered, it works just fine. I was able to fit about seven of my folding chairs in the other storage deck box and it closed perfectly. Bought this to store the pool floats and toys in because I was sick of carrying them back and forth from the garage. Now, most everything fits in it on the pool deck with room to spare for small things. I have four blown up pool floats (one of which is bulky with a unicorn head and tail), a small kiddy pool float, some pool noodles, padel boards, and the deck umbrella. And like i said i still have room to add any smaller items. Very spacious. Fairly easy to put together. I put most of it together by myself. Attaching the lid to the hinges on the box was the final step and I did need my husband to help with this. I had a hard time keeping it in place while I tried to screw on each side. It seems sturdy enough so far. I am worried about how to use it in the winter without mice nesting in it. We had a shed that the mice took over and made super disgusting. So Im not sure that Id store anything in this over the winter. There are spaces at the bottom for air flow that the mice can easily access.
