I bought these to help reduce the wind that we get on our deck. We have them attached to the railings. Last year we had to chase our furniture a few times during our wind storms but not this year. They worked very well as a wind break. They definitely had to be secured well to keep them in place. They look very nice and add to the look of our deck instead of taking away. The privacy screens arrived yesterday and I opened one of the boxes today. There are 3 panels per screen to fasten together, and the legs to attach. Hardware was provided, as were the instructions. Arrived very quickly with no damage during shipping. Excited to get the 5 screens assembled and the oxidation process to begin. I will be using them in my courtyard around the hot tub for privacy. I compared these from many places and decided to buy from Wayfair because of cost, and Ive bought from Wayfair many times before (and have had hot and miss experiences, but if I actually get the item, it has been fine). They are nice looking and fairly sturdy, although they fell over in a windstorm, despite the metal stakes that come with them. The biggest problem is that I think the reddish brown color just does not exist. I got what looks like the brown color. The boxes say reddish brown, but that is clearly not what they are. I saw reviews elsewhere that said the same thing. I paid more for the color I wanted and didnt get it. Pros= Absolutely stunning!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Perfect for what I was looking for. A little bit of a barrier from our neighbors not so fishbowl vibe when sitting outside without obstructing the view of the lake or a harsh fence (unable to do so with HOA rules). It is so beautiful It has elevated my patio. I just bought more to add to my other side that doesn't even need a barrier just to add the beautiful look of these. Cons=Yes they come with a stand. However, in order for these to be left up outside and not have any fears of hurting anyone (they are heavy) they do need placement of additional support. If your placing under a covered patio should be just fine with sandbags/planters etc for added weight, however, we had ours freestanding out in the element there was absolutely no way my hubby was ok with that solution. We added the wood frame, (which honestly I think made these go from nice to breathtaking) attached it to one side of the house, and secured it to a cement bench we had, to the other side, that baby is not going anywhere. We bought three of these to create some privacy from our neighbors at an awkward angle near our fence. They’re very pretty and do a great job of creating some privacy without being too harsh. Assembly wasn’t complicated, but it was tedious and a bit frustrating. You need to screw multiple nuts into bolts in very tight spaces and the parts are not machined well, so they don’t fit easily. Also, the tools they provide are nearly useless. After assembling the third one, my fingers were like raw hamburger. I recommend investing in a ratchet tool if you’re purchasing multiple screens. As others have said, they’re sturdy but aren’t going to sustain any significant wind. We installed them in soft ground with the included stakes but we will need to reinforce them as they’ll quickly lean. The flower design creates sharp edges that poke out and can easily hurt you.
