I bought these to help reduce the wind that we get on our deck. We have them attached to the railings. Last year we had to chase our furniture a few times during our wind storms but not this year. They worked very well as a wind break. They definitely had to be secured well to keep them in place. They look very nice and add to the look of our deck instead of taking away. They of course come unfinished and have to be finished to get the rusted look but that was pretty easy. I would recommend this product.. Debra. Vancouver, BC. Mon May 11 2026

Enjoy the coziness, warmth, and ambiance of a crackling, wood-burning fire on any patio or porch with this rustic-style chiminea. This outdoor chimney is constructed of durable steel with a rust patina for an antique appearance (because of the unique formation of this finish, the color may continue to change over time. To limit color change, keep the product covered when not in use. A cover is not included and must be purchased separately. Looking for an authentic, weathered outdoor metal planter? Start with this bare steel planter and let nature slowly do the rest. Corten steel was originally developed for use in railroad cars. It is considered “weathering steel” and is made of a group of alloys that together have exceptional tensile strength and corrosion-resistant properties. When exposed to the weather, the steel forms a layer of rust on its surface that serves as a protective coating. This controlled corrosion creates the rustic, antiquated appearance for which Corten steel has best become known. The weathering process may take a month or so depending on the elements to which the planter is exposed. Note: Oxidation in Corten steel is typically slow, but some planters exposed to excessive rain or moisture/heat combinations might weather more quickly. Similar to eager gardeners planting bulbs in the fall expecting brilliant colors in the spring, anticipation for the transition from bare steel to a weathered rust-look is part of the natural gardening experience.
