Took about 2 1/2 hours for me to assemble by myself. Has about 40 steps while there are a lot of pieces it does look nice. It is a perfect sized shelf for a corner. It is sturdy and I didn't need to attach it to the wall, as long as you put a heavier item on a shelf. It was easy to assemble BUT there are sticky letters on several pieces, so you know where to attach them. The problem is getting those sticky letters off when you are finished are a pain. There is lots of storage, and the open sides and back make it look lighter and give you different options for displays. It was easy to put together, it just takes time.
