It's made from engineered wood, finished with a birch veneer wrap, and features frame molding and beadboard panel accents for a breezy look. The base features a drop-down door that reveals an interior shelf where you can keep your favorite pairs of shoes. We love how you can sit on the small bench to lace up (or take off) your shoes. Up top, there are four double-prong hooks for your jackets and scarves, plus an open shelf where you can create a decorative display.

I really like this shoe bench and once put together its looks great and Im hopeful it will help organize the clutter of things I had in this corner. However, the wood is manufactured and not the best quality so Im not optimistic it will stand the test of time. If this piece is a combination of solid wood and manufactured wood, I sure as heck can't tell the difference. It's a SOLID piece that honestly feels like all natural wood. That wasn't the best part. My husband and I recently moved into a new home and elected to not bring any of our furniture from our prior one. Suffice to say, I have been assembling LOTS and LOTS of furniture and accent pieces. Lots! This one was the easiest to assemble to date. Did it myself and I'm in my late 60's. Piece of cake. And the end result was lovely. The ONLY negative I can think to say is that I wish that there was an access hole in the back of the top white exposed shelf. I bought this for underneath a corner mounted TV and wanted the soundbar to go there. No biggie, I'll just get out my drill and make a hole for the power cord to pass thru. Sigh. It's true.
