This exceeded my expectations. We purchased this to store and display some of the Lego’s my son has put together over the years and to brighten up our newly finished basement. It looks so cool and the motion sensing light has the added benefit of lighting the steps into the basement without needing to go upstairs to hit the switch. It is a soft enough glow to not interrupt anyone’s need for darkness, while still illuminating the steps enough eyes to adjust to the darkness and since you can set it for motion sensing, it only remains on for a few moments. Made of wood, not flimsy particle board. Assembly is easy. but reading the directions is essential. This is not a piece you can just "wing", and assembly is best with two people. Note that only the top section lights. I'm not a fan of the yellow tone bulb and hope to be able to replace the bulb with one of more white light. The doors shut tight, and the unit sits level. I mean.... I know what I paid for this cabinet so wasn't expecting a solid wood, very sturdy piece overall. This piece will do fine until, and if, I choose to replace it. This is the first purchase from Wayfair that I elected to hire a professional to assemble for me. I mean, I'm capable it's just that I needed a break! You don't notice the, and I hate to use this word, but 'cheapness' of the cabinet until you open the doors and drawers. Kinda flimsy but for my purposes, it was okay. BTW I used my own accent lights inside so, no lights with the cabinet itself. Also, I changed out the knobs and handles as well because I found the originals to be not so great.. Elaine.
