If this piece is a combination of solid wood and manufactured wood, I sure as heck can't tell the difference. It's a SOLID piece that honestly feels like all natural wood. That wasn't the best part. My husband and I recently moved into a new home and elected to not bring any of our furniture from our prior one. Suffice to say, I have been assembling LOTS and LOTS of furniture and accent pieces. The ONLY negative I can think to say is that I wish that there was an access hole in the back of the top white exposed shelf.
