It looks nice, though it is a pressboard, but I will say the back panels are thicker which is nice (and not those folding sheets that usually are on back of most other pressboard shelves). It definitely needs the brackets though to hold to the wall as it does seem real top heavy without them. My number one complaint about this, is that you can’t put the shorter end on either side. It is only possible to have the shorter end. Come out on the right. I needed the shorter end on the left. Luckily my wall was big enough that I could assemble it straight across without the bend. Other than that, it was very easy to put together. The lights are a nice touch.
