Everything has been Meraviglioso!! The plate sets match my lava stone table that I bought in Italy and had shipped to me! Color was perfect, they feel sturdy. I read a few reviews that said they had some chipping of their plates. I have had stoneware before and I feel these should not easily chip unless of course they are dropped or not handled with care. Just use caution. I like the lip on the plates, shape and size of bowls. The cups are great size for coffee, definitely not a small cup! I would give these 10 stars if I could! Love them and color!!. Really nice set, just what I was looking for. I purchased open box since I'm a bargain hound, and everything is perfect except for one issue. Apparently in pickup and delivery process, the box was roughly handled with the end result being the lovely, handled platter/tray, was in pieces. The box was a bit rough looking, but I was optimistic. So sad to hear the rattle of broken pieces when I picked up the box, and very sad that the platter didn't survive.. Judy. Vancouver, WA.
