This roll-up blind is very popular in Japan. A perfect natural decorative option to be used for screening and sunshade. This is naturally hollow making them excellent material for insulating heat from the sun on residential and commercial premises. Reed is harvested once a year for our fencing and curtain production. Each of the curtains is peeled and cleaned. This material is sustainable due to the yearly harvest cycle.

These are in the style of a Roman shade, which is a nice concept for covering the glass panel in French Doors. They are magnetic, so easy to position up or drop down. However, instead of some type of metal or sturdy resin material, the “rod” inserts at the back of the shade are cheap plastic tubes which do not fit tightly enough or stay together very well— when inserting to the back of the curtain, the sections come apart. There are several colors to choose from, and the material is lightweight, but blocks even the strong sunlight we have in the desert. I have two universal RF hubs (Bond Bridge Pro and Toyanc IRRF transmitter) for home automation, and for some reason, both accepted the programming frequency of the remote (433.92 MHz), but neither would transmit the right codes. The roller blind looks really nice once installed and gives the window a clean, modern appearance. Unfortunately, it arrived with some damaged pieces and was missing hardware, which made installation more difficult and frustrating than it should have been.
