It's so freaking thick! This is my first latex bed after having a memory foam for over ten years. My biggest issue was my hip and having the right firm support underneath so my mid-section doesn't sink, but still feeling the fibers adjust to my body contour. I've been sleeping on this for a month, and so far I'm loving. Firm but soft. I wanted to have that hotel quality at home, and I feel like I finally do. That is worth the price I sprung for. And yes it is water proof I tested it to see. Wayfair had the best price overall plus I had a little reward from where I had purchased something else a while back so that made the sting a little easier and if you need the 6 months to pay then that’s no brainer.. This mattress topper is great! I absolutely love that it has straps on all four corners that hold it on top of the bed mattress so that it does not slide. It has held its shape over the course of the past month and provides the bed with extra comfort. It is a bit more on the firmer side, but does get a little softer with more frequent use.
