Despite my husband NOT listening to me and used a metal whisk on one of them (picture included) besides that, they are heavy duty, the silicone bottom is very helpful with not sliding around on the counter. I HIGHLY recommend silicone, nylon or wood utensils because they WONT scratch up the bowls. And if you really like the shiny finish, please DO NOT put in dishwasher.
