I bought this unit when I became a senior widower, purchasing it for the express purpose of cooking for one. Its 2-quart capacity is perfect for a small houshold and it performs that task beautifully and, like its big brother, is easy to clean with its two-part design. I have two larger units for family visits. Another feature i like is the simple heat control. It doesn't reset or fail during a power bump as seems to be happening with increasing frequency.. When I tried to use it, it emitted a chemically plastic-melting smell. I double checked that all packaging had been removed but the smell persisted. I unplugged it and transferred my soup to a dutch oven bc I did not trust the safety of this product. I dont think I can even return it so idk what to do with it now. Do not recommend.. Amelia.
