I found this gray cabinet easy to assemble. All I needed was my Phillips screwdriver. I did spray paint the backplates a dark gray and put nicer knobs on the doors. This traditional looking sideboard with adjustable shelves makes a great storage unit for kitchens, living rooms and entryways. It is made of MDF with a wide countertop that is water and moisture resistant and features 4 legs and a center support leg that can hold up to 275 pounds. The two drawers feature metal glides for easy maneuverability, and the cabinets below have adjustable shelves on the inside for easy storage of dishes, tablecloths and utensils, and top space for frequently used items and decorative accessories.

I’m very happy with it. It took a bit of time, but I was slow and cautious and deliberate, and I would say it went together quite easily. There are a couple of little white scuff areas that I need to clean up. There is a gap of maybe a half inch between the two doors on the left. Ideally they would meet. It doesn’t bother me too badly because it still looks black. Hopefully the surface will hold up overtime. I am OBSESSED! We purchased two for under our television and they are gorgeous! Note they scratch easily but nothing you can’t fix with a sharpie. They are a pain to build the instructions are a little confusing- just make sure you know which direction will be the front and back of the unit before you assemble; we had to rebuild one of ours. The doors were pretty annoying to get aligned but I don’t think that is unique to this product. One of the six doors does not function with the push to close so we have to push back the lever manually when we want to close it but the door itself works. We selected this piece because of the design, color and price. We have kids so didn't want to splurge on something more expensive (yet!). This is budget quality but looks good. Assembly is easy enough for one person but the doors are nearly impossible to get perfectly aligned. One of the doors even started peeling the veneer because it was rubbing on the side of the cabinet. If you're looking for a piece that is budget friendly but still looks nice, this one is great.
