Since 1945, when Duralex invented the glass tempering process, the name Duralex has been associated with toughened glassware, utilizing their proprietary process.

A little expensive, but these are well-made, great quality tempered glass plates. I placed the order on a Monday and they shipped in two boxes due to their weight. I love this dinnerware set. Being organic gives it an elevated look. The glaze is nice, just enough to give your table an elegant appeal. These have some weight and feel substantial. My favorite piece in the set is the pasta bowl. It is absolutely gorgeous. I really like that this set is oven safe. I don’t cook on it, but it is nice to be able to warm a dish in it. We really like this set. In fact, after buying it, we purchased two more of the exact same set. Another reviewer talked about the cereal bowls being too small, but actually we think they are a perfect portion size, and they fit just right in our dishwasher! We also really liked the soup plates and use them often for things like protien bowls or roasts and things with sauce. We would recommend this set and are very pleased with our purchase.. Tara.
