The one I ordered had black in the coloring through the back end with a stripe up the back. There is also black around the beak, and the feet are black. This pelican is so adorable! I really love it. First of all, its colors are so beautiful and vibrant and they are so pretty. It looks so nice on my front porch and really stands out and adds so much to the porch and I really like that you can see it so well from the road too. It’s a great focal point for the porch or anywhere else you want to put it. I think it would look great by a pool if you have one, or even indoors. The quality of it is very good too. It is kind of heavy so it’s not going to blow over all the time and it also comes with a stake to hold it down too. Unfortunately that only really helps if it’s in a grassy area or a flowerbed. It’s made of a real nice metal and the details on it are really cool. It’s also bigger than I was expecting so I’m happy about. Hand-carved of solid albizia wood, this perched pelican is given a textured look with a washed finish in blue, it is a favorite among coastal and beach lovers.

Gave it a 5 star because the product itself is sturdy and a good size, with nice variations in the paint and wood. BUT this promo is a deceptive photo. These are medium brown, not anywhere near the off-white shown. (If you want an off-white see the Lecia Rustic Seagull, which I also purchased and it is true to color shown.) I've also shown the matching color sets with the 3 fish and sea gulls. All of these are a great coastal addition. You can see the Pelican is a big bird. They were all SO well packaged!!! Highly recommend this pelican, it is the best one offered on Wayfair IMO. It actually IS the color of the brown pelican.
